The Chapel is in the heart of Brompton Regis within Exmoor National Park, it's a grade II listed beautifully converted methodist chapel. Originally built in 1854 the chapel retains many of its original features such as stained-glass windows, wooden barrel roof and exposed stonework. Converted in 2024 the chapel accommodates two people and has been finished to a high standard with top end furniture and appliances. The magnificent original chapel area houses the open plan lounge area complete with underfloor heating, log burner fire, and a glass mezzanine balcony snug area with fantastic views up the village. From the lounge area two wide slate steps take you up into the modern extension where the kitchen/dining area, bathroom and bedroom are situated. The triple bifold doors in the kitchen give stunning uninterrupted views onto the Exmoor hills. Your own private patios and garden areas along with a two acre orchard to explore complete with garden furniture and firepit/bbq are lovely areas to sit on an evening watching the wildlife or observing the stars as the chapel is situated in Europes only dark skies reserve area. Your welcome pack of local produce will be waiting for you on arrival, all linen and towels (Egyptian cotton) are included as is electric, heating and free wifi. Secure parking for 2 cars.

The chapel is situated in the pretty rural village of Brompton Regis in a quiet location on the eastern side of Exmoor National Park. It was once a market “town” and one of the largest in the area, divided into Highertown and Lowertown. The parish extends from the Haddeo Valley up to the ridge of the Brendon Hills. It includes Wimbleball Lake and nature reserve (1 mile away) which offers all kinds of water-based activities and walks. Dulverton is approx. 5 miles away and is known as the southern gateway to Exmoor. It’s a pretty small market town with a butcher, Post Office, fish and chip shop, green grocer, late opening supermarket, art gallery, hairdressers, book shop and antique dealers. There are also a number of boutiques, interesting gift shops plus a handful of lovely restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. The coastal town of Minehead is 13 miles away with its variety of shops along with the main station for the iconic West Somerset Steam Railway running through stunning coastal and countryside to Bishop Lydeard near Taunton.
