Independently owned & run by Chef/Patron Matthew Sworder, who trained under Adam Byatt & the Ramsey group, before opening his first restaurant in 2013. Corner House Canterbury was opened in 2016 & is a family run business with a passion for delivering a fantastic guest experience. The 16th century building was formerly known as "The Flying Horse" & is the second oldest pub in Canterbury There are 5 characterful rooms, a 60 seater restaurant & beautiful garden within the building .Our rooms have quirky details, some pertaining to historical characters that are well known for a connection to the city of Canterbury. Each guest room has air conditioning, a small fridge & every guest that stays with us will have a homemade continental breakfast delivered to their room each morning. Our guests are welcome to use the restaurant or garden during their stay with the option of ordering food & drinks to the rooms during food service hours. Our guest rooms are located on our first & second floor which are accessible by stairs. Staff will always offer to help with any luggage & we can also store your luggage outside of check in & checkout times. Parking is really convenient as we are a 1 minute walk from Holmen's Meadow car park & can offer discounted parking vouchers during your stay. Getting to us when travelling by train is also very easy as we are 18 minute walk from Canterbury West & a 10 minute walk from Canterbury East. Food is served Monday - Friday 12pm - 9pm. Saturday 11:30am - 9:30pm & Sunday 11:30am - 8:30pm. We cater for dietary requirements & food allergies.

We are located on the outskirts of the city walls in the East of the city. A 3 minute walk into the main high street & only a 10 minute walk to Canterbury Cathedral. With beautiful walks in Dane John Gardens on our doorstep & a 9 minute walk from Canterbury East, 18 minute walk from Canterbury West train station. We are also a restaurant serving homemade, seasonal dishes & a beautiful garden which can be used by residents & non residents for food & drinks.
