Our place is close to Channel Tunnel and ports, trains to London, Canterbury and countryside. You’ll love this place because of the location in a Kentish village and the spacious and luxury accommodation. The Granary is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

Myself and my wife, Hazel, are retired. We enjoy travelling, both cities and countryside. Our interests are natural history and the arts. Hazel and Robin will be about in the main house (30 metres away) to help with any queries you may have.

Lyminge is an ancient Kentish village on the site of an Anglo Saxon settlement and the Church dates from 10th century. It is five miles from the seaside in Hythe. There are walks on public footpaths in all directions from the village on the North Downs or Elham Valley. Lyminge has a Chemist, Doctors’ surgery, two convenience stores, Chinese restaurant, Indian take-way, a pub (Coach and Horses), a Tea Room and a hairdresser. So the Granary is an excellent location for a quite relaxing stay or for exploring the area of countryside and historic places like Dover Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Hythe and Romney Marsh. You will have off-road parking in the main drive. Bus and train timetable are provided, also Tourist information leaflets. You are in easy reach of Hythe, Folkestone, Ashford, Dover and Canterbury. The Channel Tunnel “Shuttle” service is a ten minute drive away and Eurostar from Ashford International is 20 minutes. The Ferry port of Dover is a 30 minute drive. Sandling Station has a service to London, and a High Speed service takes just 38 minutes from Ashford.
