The building is a 1853 property so very old, and quirky, we host Live music every fortnight on a Saturday so please be aware & bare this in mind if you are coming with small children as the music ends at 11 pm we are dog friendly however b&b guest are asked to bring there own bedding for dogs as they are not allowed on the beds. A maximum of two small dogs per room! The pub itself is open on Thursday,Friday, Saturdays,Sundays, Meals are served Thursday through to Sunday at 3pm if guest are visiting on days when the pub is not open, then I normally suggest the Rising Sun at Mosley Green Yorkley to dine, which is a five minute drive or there are plenty of eateries & takeaways! A mile away in the nearest town of Cinderford, I do not recommend the places on my description of my property. This has not been suggested by myself it is the site I am using to advertise my business & I think they may have used ai & I cannot remove it, the Indian restaurant opposite my premises does not even do Indian meals anymore! & Woodlands is a campsite which is a long drive away, from my premises, so I never suggest there either! The nearest train station is Lydney about six miles away where you can commute to Gloucester Cheltenham or Newport, Cardiff and Bristol,

The forest of Dean has lots of cycle tracks and Woodland walks the nearest being a few minutes from my premises called the blue rock trail, there are lots of local attractions, Dean Heritage Centre, puzzle wood, Parry Grove railway, The Forest of Dean railway, crime through time but only opens seasonal, heart barn tea room & crafts, Beachhurst, pedal a bike away 20 minute drive to Gloucester quays shopping centre & Docks, Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucester Prison, 40 minute drive to Cheltenham races
