The Old Posthouse B&B is in the former village post office in Normanby by Spital, a small village north of Lincoln in a rural setting. The building dates back to Victorian times when it was the village store; and has been refurbished to a high standard, while retaining it's character. It has plenty of off-road parking within an enclosed garden and behind gates which are shut at night; 3 comfortable and clean bedrooms (individually decorated) accommodating up to 6 people in total (2 with ensuites and 1 with its own large private and exclusive bathroom); free WiFi which has recently been upgraded; TVs; luxury Hypnos mattresses for guests' comfort; comfy seats and sofas downstairs in the Dining Room and the Snug and an outside seating area in the garden where guests can relax. The Dining Room and Snug are also where breakfasts and evening meals are served. Each room has either a Kingsize bed (2 of the bedrooms) or a Double bed (1 bedroom). The Old Posthouse has a VisitEngland 4 star rating, a Gold Award and a Breakfast Award and offers a great place to stay as a base for exploring large parts of Lincolnshire, or if visiting the area on business or seeing family or friends. The Breakfast Award reflects the great choice we offer guests for breakfast. The breakfast options include homemade granola, Maud Foster porridge with homemade compote and Lincolnshire honey, an extensive range of teas and coffees, The Old Posthouse Full English breakfast, French toast with homemade compote, and Alfred Enderby smoked salmon or smoked haddock. The village of Normanby by Spital has a village pub, The Bottle & Glass, and a post office and village shop; and is well located to get to various parts of Lincolnshire including Lincoln, Market Rasen Racecourse, the Lincolnshire Wolds, the antiques centres at Hemswell Cliff and The Lincolnshire Showground.

We think breakfast should set you up for the day and we think the reviews show that we offer a great breakfast. We also offer evening meals by separate arrangement. We have a range of literature for guests to use to discover things to do in the area - walks in the Lincolnshire Wolds; visiting RAF heritage sites; looking for antiques at Hemswell Cliff; or looking at the various places of interest in Lincoln and elsewhere. We offer a warm welcome to our guests and in recognition of this in 2023, VisitEngland awarded us a Rose Award in recognition of our service excellence; and in 2024 we were shortlisted in the B&B and Guest House of the Year Award Category in the Tourism Excellence Awards for Lincolnshire and Rutland.

We are located north of Lincoln in the village of Normanby by Spital. The village is surrounded by farmland and provides a quiet, relaxing place to base yourself for exploring the area. There is a pub and a post office/village store about 2 minutes from our front door. The village is a 5 minute drive from both the A15 and A631, with easy access to a various local attractions including the city of Lincoln, the antiques centres at Hemswell Cliff, Lincolnshire Showground and The Lincolnshire Wolds.
