Dating back to 1745, this Georgian barn was brought back to life in the year 2020 to give the lucky few a truly unique place to stay. It is located a short walk from the centre of Bushmills, yet far removed from the rush of everyday life. Charmingly furnished throughout, this property balances spaciousness with a cozy intimacy that makes returning from an adventure a pleasure. The heart of the Barn and perhaps its crowning glory, is its spectacular open plan area, with its 6 meter high ceiling it boasts a sitting area with a fireplace, a fully furnished kitchen, a dining area, a lounge leading out to the balcony with garden views and the exposed 300 year old original stone. With its warm rustic beauty, the barn embodies an old Irish charm, but with all the modern luxuries. From our cosiest to our grandest the Barn has four glorious en-suite bedrooms to ensure the perfect night's sleep. After studying International Hospitality and Tourism Management whilst working at world renowned Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland I gained a fabulous education of the tourism industry. I later moved home to my childhood town of Bushmills bringing my new found knowledge of high end tourism with me. After a few unsuccessful job applications I began to work on building sites which lead me to gain a new knowledge in construction. All the while I dreamt of combining my love of tourism with my new found love of construction... The unique opportunity of bringing a barn in Bushmills dating back to 1745 presented itself. I wrote a business plan and after a few attempts I finally secured funding. I put my all into creating a premium place to stay in the centre of Bushmills and saving this unique and special building. The Old Bushmills Barn has since won multiple awards for its contribution to Tourism in the area. Incredibly, we were honoured to win Accommodation of the year 2022 in Northern Ireland! A few months after winning the award a new unique opportunity presented itself and along with my squad of merry men I was able to bring another historical building, on the Causeway Coast, back to life, this time in the form of an art deco styled Manor. It is called - The Old Mount Manor. Now with two premium self catering properties my team and I adore hosting guests from all walks of life.
