The Old Toll House is a distinctive and unique bow-ended cottage, formerly a Toll House in the 19th century set in a prominent position as you drive down towards the Harbour in this pretty little village. The Old Toll House has been completely renovated throughout in 2021 and the owner’s eye for detail is evident as you step through the door. With quality and comfort paramount throughout on the ground floor, there is a modern fully fitted kitchen/dining room, a plush shower room and the large bedroom is delightful with its bowed walls and luxurious bed. Upstairs is pretty special – the large living room has windows on two elevations where you can get a glimpse of the sea, a wonderful log wood burner for those chillier evenings, and comfortable sofas and chairs to complement the room. Portpatrick is one of the most popular little holiday villages on the coast in beautiful Dumfries and Galloway. Set around a small bay with cliffs forming the backdrop in years gone by, it was a busy transport port to Northern Ireland. On clear night you can see the lights on the Irish Coast and the sun setting behind the Mourne Mountains.
