The Orchard is a traditional upside down cottage next door to the owner's farmhouse on a non-working farm in a rural location, seven miles from Okehampton. This cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms which includes a ground floor king-size double and a second floor mezzanine double. Outside is also an annex with a king-size four-poster bed and luxury bathroom. There is also a ground floor bathroom and cloakroom. On the first floor there is an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with woodburning stove. From the existing kitchen area a door leads to a further open plan kitchenette, dining and sitting room with door to a small enclosed garden with seating. 4-poster bedroom and a bathroom with corner whirlpool bath, separate shower, whb and wc. Outside, is a front patio with furniture and off road parking for one car. The Orchard is a delightful, quirky cottage with all the ingredients to create a truly memorable holiday. Children must be supervised due to the hot tub and mezzanine bedroom and are the responsibility of parents at all times. As we have kittens, chickens, ducks, horses and sheep, we ask that your dogs are kept on leads and under control in the yard and adjoining area, we do offer allocated exercise areas where dogs can run off-lead, and there are some excellent local bridleways a few minutes walk away.

Okehampton is a busy market town on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park and near the highest and most dramatic areas of the moor, where Yes Tor rises to a height above 2000 feet. To the north of Okehampton are some beautiful rolling Devon hills where small farming villages nestle amidst woods and fields with plenty of gently flowing rivers.
