Perfect for couples for a romantic getaway or solo travellers who are looking for a well earned break, it’s a peaceful base for exploring Oban, the Highlands, and nearby islands. Enjoy modern comforts, a cosy interior, and the beauty of the Scottish countryside right on your doorstep. On waking each morning, enjoy coffee on your private deck and breathe in the fresh Highland air. Relax as much as you like or plan an exciting adventure for the day. Inside, you’ll find everything you need - a plush European sized double bed, en-suite, a kitchen with a range of cooking facilities and a living area including sofa and dining table. Outside there is a garden with decking and seating where you can also choose to dine al fresco. Private parking is on site with plenty of space. From the pod, it’s just a short walk down to the loch through pretty woodland, where you may catch sight of deer, otters, seals, herons and even sea eagles. Guests have exclusive use of the glamping pod and private outdoor seating area. Free parking is available on-site. Check-in is contactless for your convenience, and we’re just a message away if you need anything during your stay. Please note, the pod is situated on a gentle slope with steps leading up to the entrance. It’s designed for adults, so we’re unable to accommodate children or pets. WiFi is provided, but as we’re in a rural area, speeds can vary. Finally, while Loch Etive is just a short walk away and lovely for photos or a peaceful stroll, we strongly advise against swimming due to strong and unpredictable currents. Stretch your legs on a hike on the nearby hills, or head into Oban – just a short 15 minute drive away – for fresh seafood, whisky tasting, and island-hopping adventures. Whether you’re seeking tranquility or outdoor exploration, this scenic hideaway offers a luxurious retreat in one of Scotland’s most captivating landscapes. Our glamping pod is located in a beautiful rural location. To make the most of your stay and explore the area with ease, we recommend having a car, as public transport is limited. Oban is just 6.4 miles away, offering shops, restaurants, and ferry links to the islands. If staying local to the pod, there are restaurants and amenities within a 1-4 mile radius. The Lochnell Arms Hotel, The Falls of Lora Hotel and The Oyster Inn are all excellent choices for a delicious meal. In and around Oban there are plenty of attractions to visit such as Dunollie Castle, McCaigs Tower, Oban Distillery (famous for it's Oban Whisky), The Oban War and Peace Museum, St Conan's Kirk in Loch Awe and Cruachan Power Station, to name a few! Another highlight is the local tour boats that depart from Oban Bay, offering scenic trips that showcase the area’s rich wildlife and stunning coastal views. You'll find plenty of great places to eat in Oban, from cafes and family-run restaurants to takeaways and seafood spots serving the freshest local catch. Take a day trip to the beautiful Glencoe where no matter the weather, the views are breathtaking. Visit Fort William, approximately an hours drive away where you will find plenty of walking routes. Or if you prefer, head into the town for a little shopping and catch the latest movie at The Highland Cinema and restaurant. Just outside the town centre is 'The Highland Soap Company', our hand and body soap supplier, well worth a visit for their beautiful gift and coffee shop.
