With panoramic views of beautiful countryside, the Ravensworth Arms Hotel is a charming pub with bright, traditional rooms. Standing on the site of Clubdon Hall, it offers free Wi-Fi, 5 minutes’ drive from the A1(M). Each room at the Ravensworth Arms Hotel includes satellite TV, free tea and coffee, and ironing facilities. All private bathrooms feature a hairdryer. Lewis Carroll was a frequent visitor to the Ravensworth, reportedly writing part of his classic work Alice in Wonderland on one of his stays. In the peaceful village of Lamesley, Newcastle’s centre is still less than 10 minutes’ drive away from the pub. Guests have views of the famous Angel of the North sculpture, and are within 20 minutes’ drive of a range of golf courses. The restaurant provides a varied and contemporary menu, including themed nights and meal deals during the week.
