The Retreat is a self contained annex to Lower Barn, a converted historic barn situated overlooking the stunning Herefordshire countryside. The Retreat is ideal for visitors to Hay-on-Wye and the Wye Valley. The River Wye at Bredwardine is a 5-minute drive (or good walk) and Hay-on-Wye where you can canoe and fish is 15 minutes away by car. The Brecon Beacons, the closest mountains to London, are a 45 minute drive away. The retreat features self contained accommodation, a private garden with outdoor seating and spectacular views over the Herefordshire countryside. Merbach hill common, Arthur’s Stone, a Neolithic burial chamber, and the Wye Valley Walk are a short walk from the doorstep. The Retreat has two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other a double, which share a shower room. The kitchen and living area has a fully equipped kitchen, tea and coffee making facilities, and complimentary welcome basket with milk, biscuits, jam, bread and fruit.
