Situated on the scenic Mourne Coastal Route, this B&B is ideally located in a quiet square beside the sea .It is just 200 metres from the village itself, which boasts five excellent restaurants, shops, pubs, hairdressers, beauticians, churches and a post office. Breakfast is made with top quality locally sourced products A full Irish breakfast is served in the dining room or conservatory between 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m.
Owned by well known Irish traditional singer and musician Anne Sands, Guests with an interest in Irish music, culture, archaeology and history are especially welcome.
Picturesque Rostrevor dates from the 18th Century.However it located on the site of a much earlier community established in the 6th Century by St. Bronagh, to facilitate pilgrims from southern and western Ireland crossing the Mourne Mountains to pray at the grave of St. Patrick in Downpatrick. The author C.S. Lewis wrote that Rostrevor was his inspiration for the magical world of Narnia. The village hosts the internationally renowned Fiddlers Green Folk festival and has become home to many artists, musicians and writers.
