We believe in using as much renewable, sustainable technologies as possible to reduce our carbon footprint. The B & B has underfloor heating throughout, solar photovoltaic for electricity, solar thermal and a biomass pellet boiler connected to an intelligent thermal store for the hot water and heating, a log fire in the breakfast room, a rain water harvesting system provides the water for the toilets and a bio-digestive systems takes care of the sewerage. The B & B was originally the old headmaster dwelling. We were on channel 4's Four in a Bed, it was an enjoyable time and we are delighted to say we won. We were also featured on George Clark's restoration man - welsh school a few years ago. Our B & B is suitable for a quiet, relaxing time here in sunny Wales. We enjoy the tranquil surroundings, the outdoors and nature. We ride motorbikes, enjoy sailing and occasionally walking. We love having BBQ's with the odd glass of wine or two!

Eco friendly self-check in, Old School B & B, originally built in 1876, which has been restored and renovated to accommodate 5 bedrooms all with en-suites. The b and b is part of an old primary school. The b and b is set in a tranquil, extremely quiet part of Pencader. We offer a self-service continental breakfast in our designated breakfast room. We have private on-site parking. The en-suites have amazing mira power showers. We are 12 miles north of the busy market town of Carmarthen in west wales. New Quay beach is about a 20 minute drive away. We are a good base for walkers, cyclists and motorbikes, due to the stunning scenery that is on our doorstep. There is free wi-fi throughout the building and each bedroom has a large flat screen television.

We are very fortunate to live in tranquil surroundings. Although we have neighbours they are not adjoined to us. Our neighbours and our neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful. In Pencader you will see a sandwich shop on the main road . With the sandwich shop on your right, take the next turning on the right, just past the sandwich shop. As you turn you will see a large sign on the fence that reads school House B & B, continue following this road, over the small hump backed bridge and start to go up the hill. You will see two more signs on the lampposts which read B & B. Continue up the hill until you see an cream end of terrace house - LOOK TO YOUR RIGHT - and you will see the school house B & B, please come in through the double gates and park your vehicle in your designated room car parking space. Please proceed to the front entrance and enter the key storage box code to access your entrance and room keys.
