The property also offers a separate full-size kitchen, thoughtfully designed and complete with a second double alcove bed, providing flexible sleeping arrangements. Hi, we’re Sarah & Robbie, and Millport has always held a special place in our hearts. Like so many people, Sarah grew up visiting the island on childhood holidays, creating memories of seaside days, chippy teas, and carefree summers — and that love for the place never left. Years later, we returned to bring that same sense of simple, nostalgic escape to others. The Skipper’s Rest is our way of sharing the magic of Millport — a place to slow down, switch off, and enjoy the timeless charm that keeps people coming back year after year. The Skipper’s Rest is perfectly positioned right on Millport’s iconic seafront, placing everything you need just moments from the door. Step straight across the road to Newton Beach and discover the famous Crocodile Rock — a much-loved local landmark and a favourite spot for photos, paddling, and rock pool exploring. Turn left and enjoy a one-minute seaside stroll to the beautiful, sweeping Kames Bay, with its golden sand and gentle waters perfect for swimming and relaxing. You’re also just a couple of doors along from The Tavern Bar, well known for its fantastic beer garden, ideal for sunny afternoons and a casual drink. There’s a Chinese takeaway right next door, and all of Millport’s cafés, shops, restaurants, and attractions are only a few minutes’ walk away along the flat promenade.
