Hi, Im Emma. I bought Fall Head Farm in 2020 and I live in the farmhouse with my son and our pets. Ive spent the past few years lovingly turning the old derelict Georgian and Victorian buildings in to wonderful holiday lets with the desire to share this wonderful rural location.

Fall Head Farm dates from 1790, with buildings added through the Victorian era. It was fully developed and 4 barns opened for bookings in Spring 2024. The barns are really sustainable, and now marry original features with modern environmental standards and design. All the barns offer generous open plan living spaces, with plenty of bathrooms and generous bedrooms. They are equipped with everything you could need, whether you stay one night or 20. Each property is pet friendly and comes with its own secure garden with great views and lots of privacy. The Stables is a mix of old and new, with the bedrooms housed in the old stables, and the living area a new build extension on what was the farms pigsty's. This gives a beautiful blend of light and character. The property is wheelchair accessible and child friendly. We accept unto 2 well behaved dogs free of charge, but ask they remain on a lead in the common areas, and all traces of them are cleaned up on check out. The Stables comes with 1 parking space, although we will try to accommodate more on request. Fall Head Farm is located off the beaten track, quite literally! The farm is located within open countryside, with views on all sides towards Fall Head Woods, Hugsett Woods (a SSSI location), Silkstone Golf course and open views towards Emily Moor. The location is peaceful, tranquil and green with lots of great walks straight from the door. The village of Silkstone is a short walk or drive, for any essentials or for an evening meal. The market town of Penistone is only 2 miles away, and drives into the Peak District take less than 10 minutes. Barnsley is 10 minutes in the opposite direction for any major shopping needs. The added benefit is we are only 1.5miles from the M1, so travel to Sheffield, Leeds, Wakefield or beyond is really easy and quick. There are lots of local days out for adults and children such as Cannon Hall Farm, Wentworth Castle, Wentworth Wood House, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Nostell Priory, Chatsworth, Langsett, The National Mining Museum, the list goes on.
