The Steadings Cottage is a beautifully converted old farm building with a fantastic open plan, split level kitchen, dining and living area complete with log burning stove. A large double room with en suite and a twin room with private bathroom. The cottage is equipped to a very high standard and has every modern comfort including luxury bedding and towels. It sits in its own private garden with its own drive way but our guests have access to 2 acres of beautiful garden as well as the field beyond where a 14ft trampoline can be enjoyed and chickens fed. There is a separate utility room as well as secure bike storage, Stabling, car parking and fresh eggs and treat on arrival! Superfast Broadband throughout the cottage (as of 1st Oct 19).
I moved here to the beautiful Scottish Borders with my husband, two children and two whippets. We love the outdoors and are finding the area so full of activities and the scenery is just amazing. Its rural with all the open space and peace you can want, yet well connected with Edinburgh and Newcastle an hour in each direction. Although we do live on-site - our home is round the corner from The Cottage, we leave guests to have their own space, however we are here if there is anything you need.
Whether you are wanting cycling, deer stalking, hiking, horse riding or simply a beautiful place to relax in comfort then The Steadings Cottage has it for you. There is a great pub 3 miles away and Jedburgh and Hawick are less than 20 minutes drive away. There is a lot of info available in the cottage about great walks, river swimming (for summer!), places to eat and activities for all ages. The coolest thing we have also found since living here is the dark sky - an absolute haven for any astronomers out there!
