The White Lion, which is owned and run by the Holmes family, is a beautifully renovated village pub with six luxury B&B ensuite rooms and an AA rosette winning pub, just a little more than your traditional countryside pub. If you’re a lover of walking, we’re prime location to set off and find some of the most beautiful island views. The Southern side of the Island is well known for its stunning views of the Needles, chalk white cliffs and vast amounts of farmland. One walk we recommend all our nature loving guests enjoy during their stay is a hike up to St. Catherine’s Oratory, known to the locals as the ‘Pepper pot’, which is one of the highest parts of the Island and the only medieval lighthouse left in England.

The White Lion is situated in the centre of the South Wight village of Niton. South-West Wight is renowned for beautiful views of both the countryside and the Island's most beautiful beaches. Niton is served by the Number 6 bus from Ventnor or Newport.
