This delightful 4-bedroom retreat cottage is perfect for those seeking a relaxing escape in the picturesque Yorkshire region. Ideally located between Wakefield and Huddersfield, hence the term ‘Middlestown’. This is just 2 minutes away from the National Coal Mining Museum or 10 minutes from the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Hepworth Gallery. Other local attractions are Castle Hill ancient monument and Emley TV mast standing more than a staggering 1000 feet. Don’t stand to close though as it blew down in the 1970’s! Whilst there you might want to pop into the 3 Acres pub/restaurant that has an excellent reputation and has been in the same hands for 50 years. For smaller bites you may want to consider ‘The Seed’ or ‘Blacker Hall Farm deli’ only just a few minutes away. Or how about ‘Yummy Yorkshire’ who specialise in ice cream! The list is endless. For those fancying trying their hand at skiing or climbing then a visit to Xscape is just a 20-minute drive. Or how about taking the kids to digger-land on the way. And then perhaps a trip to the National Trust Nostell Priory the following day?
