Ty Pegi is typical of Pembrokeshire detached Cottage built in the mid 1800's situated on the Strumble Head Peninsular. For a 1 double bedroomed cottage, it is deceptively spacious and built on 1 floor, similar to a bungalow. If you simply want to chill out and enjoy the serene peace and quiet, this is the very place to unwind. I would like to advise that one well-behaved dog is permitted. The unobstructed views from the cottage are quite breathtaking and include a small lake, Garn Fawr Hill Fort, a lush valley and far-reaching sea views. I fell in love with this hidden gem, and I decided to purchase it after seeing this magnificent peninsular whilst returning on the ferry from a family holiday in Ireland in 2007. I can only describe the location as Magical from stormy, windy days to sublime calm summer days when the dawn chorus is in full song. On some days, an enchanted mist will suddenly descend on the nearby Garn Fawr, adding to everyone's sense of wonder. The cottage faces due west, so the sunsets from this location are very special indeed. Also, if you get the chance on a clear night, turn off all the lights and look skywards to take in the wonderful sparkling universe above, you won't be disappointed. Strumble Head Lighthouse is a 10 minute drive from Ty Pegi where many species of wildlife can be spotted including Risso Dolphins, Common Dolphins, Harbour Porpoise, Seals and their pups and not to mention the abundant birdlife passing through Choughs, Gannets, Pheasants, Cuckoo's, Buzzards, Wood Peckers, Swifts and Red Kites are just some of the regulars.
