Large bright room in a spacious tradtional, Victorian House, on a quiet traditional street of large Victorian three story properties. And, just around the corner from Welsh Poet, Dylan Thomas's birth place. 2 rooms available, sharing a bathroom but with 2 seperate shower rooms and toilets to avoid a clash in the morning. Like many cities parking can be an issue and the street is permit parking but just at the end is free parking. We will remedy this shortly as currently we have 2 cars currently awaiting permits that are on the drive. When they arrive will release the driveway for guests. This is a dogs home too. She does not have access to the guest floor but would be happy to enthusistically welcome you. If you are not keen on dogs we will keep her out of your way.

Uplands is the Hip and Cool vibe of Swansea. A small area that feels more like a vibrant village than a city with the convienience of being just a 10 min walk down the hill to city centre and the beach, it has a strong community feel In Uplands you can eat your way around the world or sit outdoors in one of the many designer coffee houses. If wine is your thing one of the best wine bars is around the corner, the infamous Noah's Bar. Notable residents have been of Course Dylan Thomas but also Michael Heseltine, Kingsley Amis, Martin Amis and Sally Amis and Sir John Roper Wright. Around the corner is Cwmdonkin Park and a little stroll further is Brynmill Park with its lake, bowling green and pikniking areas. Uplands has something for everyone churches of every religion, nightlife and morning strolling, an ideal base for exploring the Gower.
