Powis Castle, Welshpool (10 miles) A mediaeval castle, fortress and grand Country house which has beautiful gardens and walks. If you're lucky you may spot a deer or two in the grounds! Coed y Dinas, Welshpool (12 miles) Large and unique shopping centre created from old farm buildings - restaurant serving hot and cold food and Sunday lunch. Derwen Garden Centre, Guilsfield (12 miles) visit farm shop or stroll around landscaped gardens, restaurant and gift shop. Lake Vyrnwy, Llanwddyn (16 miles) A must see whilst staying in the area, walk, cycle or drive around the scenic lake.
