Minehead is a lovely seaside town that also sits on the edge of Exmoor National Park. If walking is your passion, there is no better place to be. Not only do you have Exmoor stretching out before you with its magnificent views, wildlife and cosy pubs, the town is also the starting point of the South West Coastal Path, the UKs longest distance countryside trail. It's also the terminus for West Somerset Steam Railway, the longest heritage railway in Britain. Exmoor is often referred to as England's best kept secret, it's a wonderful holiday destination for anyone looking for a holiday in the great outdoors! There's so much to see and do, from short walks to long expeditions across the moors or horse riding, taking in a safari or sight-seeing at your own pace around the 'picture postcard' villages and hamlets. There are some beautiful walks on North hill, right on the doorstep of Vikings Annexe.
