Watchcombe House is situated in a rural location just to the south of the Blackdown Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a stone built chalet style building with slate roofing and has been much improved in recent years. The property has a swimming pool, stables and 3.5 acres of land. It is nestled in the small hamlet of Watchcombe and enjoys a wonderful position at the top of a hill with fantastic 360 degree panoramic views of the lovely East Devon countryside. The luxurious en-suite accommodation is for one or two adults and is finished to a superb standard. Relax in comfortable chairs after a long day and take in the beautiful vista. In the summer months, wind down with a swim in the solar heated swimming pool (check when booking that the pool will be available). The luxury en-suite wet room is beautifully finished with fluffy towels and a heated towel rail. Soap and shower gel are provided. The bedroom has a 32 inch flat screen TV, clock radio, hairdryer, free WiFi and plenty of hanging space. There is also a mini-fridge with chilled bottled water and milk to complement the hot drinks tray with tea, coffee and biscuits.

Henry and I have lived here for approximately two years together with our two Italian Spinone dogs, cat and chickens. We love walking in the beautiful Devon countryside.

Please be aware that Watchcombe House is in a rural location and you will need to travel down at least 2miles of small Devon lanes to reach us. The market towns of Axminster and Honiton are the nearest towns, with the seaside resorts of Seaton, Beer, Lyme Regis and Charmouth all not far away. The closest pubs are in the medieval market town of Colyton which is only 2.4 miles away. The historic city of Exeter is 25 miles away.
