The farmhouse is set in the most perfect and tranquil situation surrounded by extensive gardens in which you are welcome to wander. The outlook is across meadows and the river Isla runs along the extent of the 130 acre farm, where you can swim, paddle, fish or just skim some stones. Wester Campsie is home to Brian and Janet and sheep, cows, ducks, hens and the family ponies. Janet grows flowers and vegetables and produce including beef from the small herd of Longhorn cattle is available along with juice and cider from the newly planted orchard which you will pass on your way down the drive.
Janet along with husband Brian are happy to give you privacy whilst you enjoy our beautiful and tranquil farm, whilst being on hand to help and answer questions if you wish. Together they run the farm, and tend the gardens which you are welcome to wander through and explore, having read the notes and maps to guide you. Janet grows flowers and vegetables, and fresh produce is usually available to guests to buy, as is our grass-fed Longhorn beef and free range eggs
Wester Campsie Farm is set in tranquil surroundings and you may find yourself now wanting to venture far, but it is within easy distance for days out to the coast with beautiful sandy beaches and fishing villages to the east, the glorious Angus glens for stunning scenery, the mountains and munros for the more energetic hill walkers, cities of Perth and Dundee for culture and shopping, fishing and golf in abundance, cakes to die for at the local coffee shops less than a mile away, and in the winter the ski-slopes of Glenshee are not far away.
