Sleep in a very comfortable double-bed, refresh in the en-suite shower and wet-room, utilise the well-equipped kitchen and relax watching TV, listening to the radio, reading or playing games. Like walking or cycling? Use our extensive knowledge of routes, use our boot wash, indoor bike store, bike wash & work station and drying room.

We will generally be around and at home (adjoined to the apartment) and please just seek us out. (we will otherwise respect your privacy). Our mobile number will be provided with the check-in instructions and you are welcome to call with any questions or needs at any time if we are not around.

Westwood Farm is in the Upper Eden Valley, a rural area in Cumbria and is also not far from County Durham and North Yorkshire. We are close to the towns of Kirkby Stephen and Appleby-in-Westmorland. Barnard Castle, Sedbergh, Richmond, Penrith and the Lake District are around a 30 minute drive away whilst Carlisle, Durham and Lancaster are less than an hour away. The Yorkshire Dales National Park includes the Westmorland Dales surrounding Kirkby Stephen. The North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is only a few miles away and the Lake District National Park, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also nearby. We can provide you with plenty of suggestions on places to eat and drink, visit, walking routes, cycling routes and wild swim places (amongst other items). You are welcome to ask us in advance. Otherwise we can explain when we meet you. We can also supply gpx routes on suggested walks and cycle routes.
