Whittaker Mews is a newly renovated cottage in the heart of the village of Rocester on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border. The original property was a storage barn constructed in the late 1800's. In the early part of the 20th century, the barn was used as a small builders and timber yard serving the local community. During the mid 1980's the building was converted into smaller individual dwellings. Since purchasing the property, it has undertook a complete renovation taking two years to complete. We hope you will enjoy the features of the cottage during your stay. The lounge has ample seating for six guests has a 55 inch smart flat panel TV with Netflix compatibility. There is also a good selection of games and books for your entertainment. The kitchen is very well appointed with appliances including a large American fridge freezer, washer/dryer, integral dishwasher, microwave, oven, gas hob, slow cooker and air fryer . The dining area has a table with chairs and benches to comfortably seat six people. Double Bedroom 1 has a king size bed , wardrobes, dressing table, a flat panel wall mounted TV and bedside USB charging. Double Bedroom 2 is arranged with two single beds which are capable of being joined together with the 'Zip link' system to make a large King-size bed (please let us know in advance if you would like the beds joined. The fully tiled luxury family bathroom has a bath with modern shower over, illuminated touch mirror & robe hooks Upstairs in the loft is a further bedroom tucked away in the exposed timber eaves, with two single beds, seating area with hanging space, drawers, flat panel tv and black out blinds. The loft also has an en-suite shower room with WC and basin The house has a fully interlinked smoke alarms, CO detectors, and first aid kit. Outside the property has a private patio with table and seating. Two parking spaces are allocated at the end of the private drive. Adjacent to the property is a child's play area and park.

Whittaker Mews is owned and managed by a small family run business. We live just a 10 minute drive from the property and have lived in the area for 25 years. Our aim is to ensure that your stay with us is so good that you will want to return as well as recommend us to your friends and family. We believe in meticulous cleanliness and attention to detail, but we do not sit back and if there are opportunities to improve, we would always gladly appreciate feedback on how we can do things even better.

Whittaker Mews is located in the heart of the village of Rocester and is an ideal base for visiting nearby Alton Towers (10 minutes drive) , Uttoxeter Races (10 minutes drive) or the fabulous Peak District. JCB's World headquarters are on our doorstep with its lakeside walks and prestigious new world class golf course just a five minute walk away. The village of Rocester has a local pub, The Red Lion, just 200m from the property and serves hot food and fine ales. There is also an Indian restaurant just a two minute walk away as well as two small general stores, and a fish and chip shop. Well worth a visit is the fabulous Denstone Hall Farm shop which is just a 3 minute drive away and has a restaurant serving lunch, coffees and afternoon teas, as well as fantastic farm shop offering fresh local produce, fine wines, a bakery and delicatessen.
