I would not want to live anywhere else as the views and peacefulness are unsurpassed in the Lake District. We are a Pure Race Spanish Horse Stud here at The Big "W" Ranch, but we also have a few Alpacas from Peru along with some Highland Cattle. We hope to see you here soon ! Welcome to The Big "W" Ranch. Perfect for Scafell Pike and Wastwater lake. You won’t forget your time in this romantic, memorable place. This cosy apartment cottage has wow views of mountains. Great beds, ample kitchen with dishwasher and large walk in shower in the en suite. Sat TV and full wi fi access inside and outside. Guests garden to sit and take in the views to the ocean and a BBQ facility. Situated on a Western Ranch and Stud Farm for Pure Spanish Horses the setting is idyllic and quality throughout. Family run. We now provide a Tassimo Coffee maker so if you have your favourite blend bring along your pods. Please note this is a very peaceful setting . You will have close neighbours and noise must be kept to a bare minimum. No parties , loud TV /music or any other noise is accepted in this cottage nor any of the other properties on site above or below this Cottage. Please do not book if you cannot conform to the noise restrictions noted above. We welcome dogs but no other pets allowed , but with strict rules and regulations. All dogs must be pre booked , declaring the breed and age of the dog. We do not allow large dogs or any pure or hybrids of German Shepherd, Doberman, Bulldogs of any kind. No puppies or dogs under 6 months of age. You must agree that dogs will not be allowed at any time on furniture or beds or off a lead. We enforce our rules strictly. Guests arriving without declaring the dog in advance will not be given access. Please do not book if you cannot abide by our rules regarding dogs. Paddleboards are available on site for an extra charge.
