With outstanding views from the cosy interior we are sure you will have a wonderful break in this peaceful cottage. The cottage is detached, self contained & set away from the owners house with direct access to public footpaths. The cottage has been fully refurbished to create a modern but cosy environment with wonderful countryside views. There is underfloor heating throughout and a wood burning stove. There is a king size bed with quality bed linen and blankets. Bathroom with deep bath and overhead rainfall shower. Guests have a private patio and orchard area outside the cottage with a chiminea and charcoal BBQ. TV with Freeview, Amazon Fire Stick & DVD player with a selection of DVDs. It is close to Mayfield village with plenty of amenities including two pubs. Guests can walk there in approx 25 minutes via the public footpath (unlit) or a bit longer via the lanes. Guests have direct access from the doorstep to many footpaths. The cottage is approximately 20 miles from the south coast.

There are some lovely gardens and National Trust properties nearby including Pashley Manor, Sheffield Park, Bodiam, Hever and Scotney Castles. Battle, with its ruined Abbey and the Herstmonceux Castle and Observatory Science Centre are a short distance away and Batemans, the former home of Rudyard Kipling is a 10 minute drive away.
