Our house is in the picturesque village of Hemingford Grey which is about 30 minutes walk or 10 minute drive from the historic market town of St Ives with its bridge chapel. There is a river walk to Hemingford Abbots and a larger circular walk of less than 2 hours which will take you to Houghton and St Ives. Along the way there are a few pubs which can provide a welcome break and refreshment. Cambridge with all its history, shops and restaurants is a short drive or bus ride from the park and ride in St Ives. Huntingdon is a 10 minute drive from Hemingford Grey where there is a train station with a regular train service to our capital city London and all its attractions. We commissioned the build of our property in 2017 to accommodate our immediate and extended family who are regular visitors. We would like to share our two good size double ensuite bedrooms on the first floor with our guests. Each room has access to its own ensuite bathroom with walk in shower, toilet, heated towel radiator and wash basin with the mirror having lights, demister and socket for electric shaver. In the bedrooms there is a double bed, wardrobe, chest of draws, mirror and workstation. Each bedroom and bathroom has adjustable radiators Free Wifi is available within all the property. As well as having your dedicated bedroom you have access to the lounge, formal dining room and well equipped kitchen living area with a log burner to relax by. There is a large garden with a choice of seating areas where time can be spent outside to enjoy the peace and fresh air, watching the local wildlife, birds, insects and squirrels. We have a no smoking policy in the house and quiet hours between 22:00 and 06:30 for comfort of our guests.

We are Michael and Rika. We have been together since we were at school, we have 2 children and 5 grand children and very much enjoy our family. When we are not with our family and away from work, we enjoy being outside hill walking. We have covered many miles in England, Wales and Scotland and have also help training many young people with map reading, navigating and camping while they have been completing the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, seeing them through from bronze to gold. We also enjoy cycling, swimming and skiing. We care very much about the environment and have been exploring using as many eco products as we can, trying to avoid single use plastics and ensuring we recycle as much as possible.

Hemingford Grey is a charming village nestled along the River Great Ouse, just a short distance from the market town of St Ives with a variety of places to eat and drink along with picturesque views of the town and river. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering a peaceful retreat with plenty of opportunities to exploring for the evenings and weekends. Hemingford Grey is only fifteen miles from the historic university city of Cambridge.
