Overlooking Lake Windermere, this YHA hostel is located in the picturesque village of Troutbeck, 2 miles from Windermere. It offers affordable accommodation, free parking, home-cooked food and self-catering kitchen facilities. The YHA Windermere’s restaurant serves traditional meals, and packed lunches are also available. The bar has panoramic views of the lake and there is also a garden and terrace with Lakeland Mountain views. The majority of rooms contain bunk beds, whilst there is a TV lounge with comfortable sofas, local sightseeing guides. Wi-Fi access is available in public areas of the property, and guests have use of laundry and drying facilities at the YHA hostel. Beautiful walking routes surround the The YHA Windermere, including the trail over Wansfell. Windermere has a selection of traditional pubs, tea rooms and artisan shops.
