The building has an elevator for ease of step-free access for all levels of mobility, and back-up generators to keep you connected even in the event of a power outage. It is just a 5 minute drive way from Sakumono beach. This apartment is also only a 30 minute drive from Kotoka International airport in Accra. There are many street food and vibrant bars close by to enjoy at Sakomono centre or on the beach front, just a short taxi trip away. You will have free parking, and the gated community provides 24 hours security that you can not often enjoy anywhere else. Your taxi / car will be met by the gate staff at the entrance to the Alphabet City gated community. The keys will be held at the entrance gate, we will provide a code to you in advance subsequent to payment via the Venco resident App which you can give to the gate staff for them to handover the keys. PLEASE NOTE: The security guards at the gate would ask to see your ID before check in. Guest are required to present a valid ID matching the booking details. Places to eat Friday's Bar and Kitchen (Sakumono Centre) This bar has a wide range of excellent world food, live music some nights, a really nice vibe and really lovely friendly staff - definitely makes for a good night out. Kitchen 7 Pot (Lashibi) Excellent food both Asian and traditional Ghanaian, really friendly open restaurant with plenty of space to enjoy your meal and a really nice vibe to it. Grills on Wheels (Teshie) Excellent and authentic local food, this is actually a takeaway, but you can order on any delivery app and have it straight to the door. Sightseeing Sakumono Beach Enjoy a walk on the beach at Sakumono, with plenty of street food and bars to choose from. The Titanic bar is particularly good, to sit by the ocean for some food and drink. From our apartment this is 45 minutes on foot or 5-10 mins in a taxi. Akosombo Dam Fascinating tour available of the main power source for Ghana - it's a reasonably long distance away, but well worth the trip, and the tour is excellent value. Elmina Castle A sordid and harrowing piece of history, but worth seeing for the knowledge it brings, everybody should really understand what went on here. Jamestown Light House Alongside the Jamestown fort, it is worth a walk around this bustling part of Accra and seeing the lighthouse. Kakum National Park Again, a fairly long drive away and worth setting off early if you want to see this one, but it's a great experience walking around on the rope bridges in the forest canopy. Head for heights required! Shopping The Junction Mall (Nungua) Useful shopping centre a short taxi ride away that caters for a wide range of things you may wish to buy. China Mall Not too far away from the apartment and convenient if you are in Tema and need a larger supermarket. Gifts and Souvenirs Accra Arts Centre Great place to get some souvenirs from all the local artists and craftspeople that trade here - just be prepared to negotiate the price!
