The original building was our grandparents' house. It was built in the 60's and was used by them as a summer residence so that they could not only be nearby during the potato harvest, but also avoid daily movements from the village where they normally lived as at that time there were no means of transport. People at that time commuted either on foot or by donkeys. Our future goal is to develop other activities with which our guests will have the opportunity to come into direct contact with nature but also with everyday activities, such as garden care, preparation of traditional food and sweets as well as carefree moments of relaxation in the shadow of the natural environment.
My name is Maria I'm from Naxos island, I was studied in North Aegean university, in Tourism section. I' m hotel empolyee and I enjoyed to assist Naxos visitors to explore Naxos island secret beautes.
In a fertile rural area between the beaches of Agia Anna-Plaka and the village of Agios Arsenios AGRILIA SUITES is located, just 4.5km from the port and Naxos town. Our location has long been characterized by the agricultural production and livestock farming where it was the main force for the economic prosperity of the residents of Agios Arsenios with particular emphasis on the production of the famous potato of Naxos. However, the special element of this location was a tree of Wild Olive (in Greek it is called “Agria Elia”) (Agrielia), which gave the toponym of the area.
