Ataraxia is a traditional stone farm building that has been fully renovated and furnished to the highest quality in traditional style by excellent local stonemasons and carpenters. It marries traditional style with all modern comforts, including free wifi, and Nespresso. The house features two air-conditioned bedrooms each with a full en suite bathroom and a walk through closet, a large all purpose kitchen, dining, lounge area, and a spacious, shaded, quiet, very private courtyard for cooking and dining outdoors, for sun-bathing, lounging, relaxing. We will be delighted to welcome you to this peaceful place, surrounded by fields and pastures.

We live next door to Ataraxia so we will always be on hand if you need help, and we will be delighted to share a cup or glass of something with you whenever you wish. We will also respect and conserve your privacy and independence if you do not wish to be disturbed. We have a very small farm with chickens, donkeys, a horse, and also a few pigs and sheep depending on the time of year. We grow all of our own produce, and try to be as self-sufficient as possible. We will gladly show you everything, and also provide you with fresh vegetables from the garden whenever possible. Andre and I have been living here in Saravari for 10 years now. We both had long careers in the hotel and restaurant business in France and Switzerland before semi-retiring to this wonderful peaceful island that we first visited for a holiday back in 1996.

Saravari Beach is one of the best of the many beaches to be found on Limnos. It is in north eastern Limnos between the two major archaeological sites of Ifaestos and Kaveiria, near to the village of Kontopouli. On the beach is an excellent taverna with parasols and sun beds; also a school for windsurf, as well several kilometres of quiet unspoilt sea and sand. Nearby is the famous Keros Beach favoured by kite surfers. Ataraxia is just 500 meters down a dirt track through fields and pastures from Saravari Beach.
