I am Anna your host! I am Greek, born in Istanbul where I spent my childhood. My family and I moved to Athens in 1974, where I completed high school and then got a degree in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus. I am now a real estate agent and, most importantly, a mother of 3. I am also a member of a history club. I love exploring cultures, traditions and cuisines from all over the world. I am a very welcoming and friendly person and I get great pleasure in going out and about, continuously discovering secret corners in the lovely city of Athens with my friends and family. As a hostess, I will be happy to share any tips you may need concerning Athenian gastronomy, nightlife and cultural events to make you feel welcome in my beautiful city. The Athenian niche in Plaka is The Athenian House’s in Plaka youngest sibling! They actually share the same building and main entrance door. But apart from that they are totally independent. If you happen to be a big group travelling together maybe you might need to rent both villas and have the whole building to yourselves! The House can accommodate up to 10 residents. It consists of 3 bedrooms, a big attic, 2 bathrooms, a water closet, a kitchen, a living & dining room and a small patio and a balcony overlooking Lisiou street.

• Plaka Plaka, also known as “the neighborhood of the Gods” due to its proximity to the Acropolis and its many archaeological sites, is one of the most picturesque areas of Athens. Stroll around, enjoy the unique architecture, visit souvenir shops and shops with local products, go for a Greek coffee at cafe Melina or try out Greek cuisine dishes at tavernas like Zorbas. Everything is right at your feet! • Monastiraki Visit the Monastiraki flea market for a pleasant walk and maybe some Greek sandals and souvenir shopping! Look out to see traditional antique shops. Take a coffee break with great views Tip! There are some hidden gems to be discovered in the antique shops at great prices. Tip!!!Summer season! Though the warm and bright Greek sun is one of the reasons why tourists from all over the world visit Greece, sun exposure can be dangerous! Remember to wear a hat, apply plenty of sunscreen, carry water and stay in the shade whenever possible.
