Here, in these mountains of Nikiana, the modern history of the Vrettos family begins with the birth of the father and grandfather of the family. On the occasion of the great earthquake of 1948, he emigrates to America for a better fate. 1991. His daughter and grandchildren return permanently to Greece and build on the mountain where we are today “the house” where the family’s three grandchildren will grow up. “The house” includes comfortable spaces that can accommodate up to 16 people, a swimming pool, a tennis court, crops such as vineyards, vegetables, while ducks and pigs are raised in the stable. A separate space is the two cottages that were built to house the horses of the family who loved horse riding so much. The daily track is a 4-acre plot of land while excursions to the mountains and the sea are the weekend fun. 2023. Now the younger generation lives between Greece & America in family businesses. The trends of the time impose the use of spaces and the disposition of visitors who seek the tranquility of this magical landscape. The huts that once housed the horses were converted into our suites, the “horse track” gave way to the swimming pools while the magnificent view, the tranquility and the direct access to the mountains & sea remain unchanged.
