This is a lovely three bedroom house with two bathrooms and two kitchens. It has air conditioning in the master bedroom. It combines a renovated traditional Greek village house with a modern new build around a pretty central courtyard. It is ideal for two or three couples sharing or a large family. You can be comfortable here in the high season but it is also a great place to stay during the autumn, winter and spring months as it is cosy and warm and you can explore the wilderness by foot or by bike. There are lots of orchids and other wild flowers from January on to the end of April. We have lived in the house for long periods and made it a home, filling it with handmade and renovated furniture and artefacts. Rhodes is full of things to do, Prasonisi is a world famous windsurfing destination only 20 minutes drive away. Rhodes town and Lindos offer a fascinating insight to the ancient history of the island and you can find beaches with watersports, or where your nearest beach neighbour is 500 metres away. The village taverna offers exceptional Greek food in a beautiful setting with natural spring water.

Hi, my name is Clive and i have been coming to Lahania with my wife Bifi for nearly 30 years. As a young man I trained as carpenter and we have been restoring the house, adding to it and filling it with renovated Greek furniture and my own hand built creations for the past 25 years. The result is a unique and quirky fusion between the traditional Greek village house and modern facilities. It is our home and it feels like a home that is loved, not a spartan holiday rental. The village of Lahania is also a bit special, as it is 2km from the beach it has escaped the over development that blights many villages and towns nearer to the beach, but still offers access to many miles of secluded and deserted beaches as well as beaches with bars and restaurants, all within a few minutes drive away. The village roads were designed for donkeys not cars which make it a very safe place for young children, who will all love playing in the spring fountains in the platia by Cafe Platanos and the church. If you are a skilled driver and rent a small car like a fiat Panda then you can drive and park outside the house, however there are plenty of places to park only a couple of minutes away if you wish.

Rhodes is the third largest Greek island after Crete and Cyprus with its own international airport. The island is full of interesting places to visit if you like history and architecture. Rhodes town is a world heritage site with its walled city and maze of streets. Lindos is also word famous for its stunning history and architecture. Tourism developed in north Rhodes at first and has steadily been moving south. Lahania is the gateway to the south of Rhodes where you can find miles of secluded beaches, unspoilt traditional Greek villages and towns as well as pristine wilderness interspersed with occasional olive groves and vineyards. It is easy to find beach bars, sun beds and swimming pools but also easy to find a beach where your nearest neighbour may be 500 metres away. Most of our guests come for the summer sun but many more come for the spring flowers, hiking through the wilderness that covers the south, or cycling though our practically car free roads. We always come to our house in February because the almond blossom, orchids, wild narcissi and anemone blanket the land everywhere you look. The daisies and mallows last until May when the last rains are a memory.
