The house is just 15 kilometres away from the popular town of Kalampaka, with its unique Monasteries of Meteora, various museums, shops and restaurants. It is located on a quiet road that leads into the mountains. It is the perfect place to relax. Within walking distance you will find two traditional taverns. Further you have to deal with the sound of nightingales and the bells of sheep herds.

Greece is so much more than spending your days on the hot sand at the sea. The infrastructure has improved enormously in the past years making it possible to easily visit the smallest traditional villages in the mountains. Greek people are very friendly, always willing to help and also very proud of their beautiful country and history.

If it gets too quiet for you then you can make nice day trips from here in all directions. The landscape is amazingly varied. Sometimes it reminds of Tuscany, a little further you think you are in the Alps. In all wind directions the landscape is beautiful. Horseback riding is possible in (Casa di Calo 8 km), hiking in fact everywhere but also in the tough mountains from Kastania (12 km) , Pertouli (42 km)or Aspropotamo (30 km). For a city-tour you can visit Trikala (40 km) with its beautiful renovated Haman, Mosque and old Fort. You can also rent bicycles in Kalampaka and visit the Monasteries by (e-)bike (Meteora e-Bikes).
