I am Eva, your host, managing the property with pride and love. I am the eight generation of the family which lived in this property since 1750s. Milies has an altitude of 400m offering a unique combination of mountain and sea. This picturesque village, is located 28 klm from the nearby city, Volos, being an ideal base for your excursions around Pelion. The landscape changes according to every season. As Milies straddles the Pelion peninsula, you have a great choice of swimming locations, either in the calm waters of the Pagasitikos Gulf to the South, or in the crystal water of the Aegean Sea to the North. Discover in many different trekking trails, magnificent colours in autumn, flowers blossoming in spring time, century-old olive trees and an enormous variety of herbs. Near the village square, one can visit interesting sights such as the public library including books and manuscripts printed in 1500, the local museum presenting the history as well as the cultural heritage of Milies and the church of Taxiarches with its the innovative structure and impressive frescos. The arrival of the legendary train at the station during weekends is a unique experience not to be missed. You will be well served by a choice of tow taverns with regional cuisine, coffee shops, and cosy bar, one bakery, two local supermarkets and a pharmacy, which operate throughout the year.
