It’s all about the view. This property has a lot to offer but it always comes back to the view! We hope the photos give you a taste of what is in and around the property but you’ve got to see it to believe it. Arbutus is a modern 2 bed apartment which was significantly improved in 2021/22 and we continue to make sympathetic improvements every year. There are generous outdoor relaxing, eating, sunbathing spaces, a private hot tub and a shared swimming pool, all with fantastic views. The swimming pool is ideal for all ages, with a separate shallow pool of 0.55m deep and main pool of 1.6m deep. (Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult). *The swimming pool is approximately 200m from the apartment and there are some reasonably steep steps to get to it.* The only way to get these spectacular views is to be elevated above the beautiful seaside town of Georgioupolis. We are approximately 2.25km up the hill from the town. This means your own transport is desirable but if you're a keen walker or cyclist you’ll probably relish the challenge of the hill. When you take the cost of airport transfers into consideration then a weeks car hire here is little different. There are also good bus links from the town to the airports and many other places on the island. Taxis are also available. Exopoli is a small village but there are a 2 small family run tavernas within 500m of our apartment. Georgioupolis is our nearest town and is an idyllic traditional fishing village on the north-western coast of Crete. The area has something for everyone, sun, sea and sand by day and great hospitality by night. It is situated on a beautiful bay by the longest sandy beach on the island, with shallow, crystal-clear water set in a river plain lined with Eucalyptus trees, merging inland into a glorious mountain landscape which beckons to hikers. The village is adjacent to the island main road, a good link by bus or car to the ports and airports in Crete, as well as anywhere else on the island and 45 km east of Chania and 22 km west of Rethymno.
