Located at the highest point of the traditional village of Finikia, Fava Eco Residences offers self catering accommodation in Santorini. Blending traditional Cycladic decoration with modern touches, each spacious suite is housed in traditional 19-century caves and features Aegean Sea views. Fava is located in a tranquil area, just a stone's throw from the picturesque Oia. All white washed suites at Fava Eco Residences offer views over the village, the famous sunset of the island and the Aegean Sea with the closeby Ios, Sikinos and Folegandros islands on the horizon. The residences have private, fully functional kitchens and bathrooms with built-in showers and hairdryer. Autonomous outdoor terraces with table and chairs for relaxing are also provided in every suite. All houses have daily maid cleaning service. Daily change of towels is provided, while change of linen takes place every two days. All rooms have heating radiators and air conditioning as well as free WiFi access, satellite TV and multilingual books. A traditional basket with local organic delicacies such as rusks, homemade jam, thyme honey, butter, eggs, cheese from Cyclades, Santorinian tomatoes and seasonal fruit is provided daily. Naval Museum of Oia is 2.1 km from Fava Eco Residences. The nearest airport is Thira Airport, 10 km from the property.

I am an Architect Engineer and Environmental Consultant MA from Architectural Association London, based in Athens and Santorini. This magnificent house was acquired by my famity in 1980's. It is the most prominent property on Finikia Village, and i have spent all my summers of my life here, since i was a child. It still creates the feeling of the good old Greece of the mid 20th century.

The Fava Eco-Residences are housed in a group of splendid and unique captain houses of the mid 19th century, located at the highest point of the traditional village of Finikia. The architects and owners of the property, started the rebuilt in the 1980’s with love and devotion and they transformed the properties into a spacious and modern, though with respect to the original traditional form, complex of summer houses. Today, the villas offer their hospitality in individual fully furnished self-catering apartments of various size and aesthetics. They offer a sense of 19th century history, combined and harmonized with modern amenities and serviced by 24/7 concierge staff, located in the heart of the most picturesque and virgin from the tourist development village of the island. Fava is just a stone's throw from the magnificent Oia and away from the crowds and noise. During the reconstruction there have been used methods following the bioclimatic sustainable vernacular architecture and materials which are eco-friendly with low embodied energy. All houses have wonderful views over the village, the famous sunset of the island and the Aegean Sea.

Our neighborhood is a little hidden jewel and the most well preserved traditional part on Santorini. Here you will find only locals who still leave their house entrances open all day and are welcoming everyone who walks through the winding medieval stone paths of the village. At night, it is so peaceful and tranquill, that you hear only the wind and nothing else. The heart of Oia and it's main promenade is 700 meters, or 7-9 minutes walk through an easy walk path and offers a vast variety of dining, shopping and leisure options. At 600 meters from the houses you will find a group of stores such as SuperMarket, grocery, meat market, car rental and liquer store that are open every day from 9:00 AM to 22:00 PM. One of the best restaurants of the island, called "Krinaki" is just around the corner. Do not ommit to visit the famous "Sigalas Winery" and the fantastic coastline, which is also accesible on foot and offers many options of both organised and non organised beaches.
