The first house has two bedrooms with one bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. The second house has one bedroom with a bathroom and a kitchen with a large sofa bed. There is an additional bedroom upstairs with external access via stairs. Set close to local small shops, minimarket and taverns, this property is the ideal choice for all those who don't want to rely constantly on a car. This is a private/detached Villa, well-suited for those seeking privacy on their holidays and at the same time, it is close to all amenities. Melidoni Village is located near the sea in Rethymno Crete. The history of Melidoni is connected to its cave.The Melidoni Cave is located about 1800 metres northwest of the village. It has an extremely interesting history and amazing archaeological findings some of which are exhibited in the Archaeological Museum of Rethymno. In the village square & around the village there are traditional taverns & cafeterias, where you can enjoy a coffee or a raki, delicious food and homely atmosphere. Reptisland is located in Melidoni, an amazing collection of reptiles such as Snakes, Cayman Crocodiles, Lizards, Bearded Dragons, Frogs, Tarantulas etc., where you can take pictures while you handling them. The visitors have the opportunity to be guided, free of charge, to PARASCHAKIS family olive oil factory (three different olive oil factories), which is open to the public. The visitors also have the opportunity to try and buy olive oil from the Paraschakis family grove. In the entrance of the village there is also the “Apithano Honey Museum-Tasting & Tours” a place dedicated to bee's world and its products, which is open to public, if you want to learn interesting facts for bees & beekeeping.
