Michaela apartment is a modern apartment situated just 300 meters away from the long, sandy beach of Plakias, one of the most famous and well-known beaches of South Rethymno. It is a split-level apartment of 120 m2 and can accommodate up to 7 guests. This wonderful apartment has three bedrooms and a spacious living room. Two of the bedrooms are located on the first floor. The two bedrooms share a bathroom with a bathtub. Additionally on the ground floor guest will find the spacious living room with the open fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with a beautiful dining table. A WC also exists on this level. Air conditioning units serve heating purposes. Air-conditioning in all areas is included & serves for heating purposes also Smoking is allowed only outdoors. No pets allowed. Events are not allowed. Climate Resilience Fee Currently not applicable, but any applicable law during your stay will apply. If introduced, it must be paid at check-in.

Plakias is a popular tourist resort, located 34 Kms south of Rethymno city, at the exit of a fertile valley surrounded by high mountains and dense olive groves. Plakias is surrounded by mountains to the north and the Libyan Sea to the south. The name in Greek means "flat", because the town stands on an alluvial fan of material that has washed down the Kotsifou gorge directly to the north. Next to it empties the river Kotsifos. One of the major growth drivers of the region is the long beachfront, known as Gialia. The main beach starts near the town and extends to the east for 1.3 Kms, up to Cape Mouri. It is a well organised beach, with cool green waters. Along the beach there is a road, ideal for walking or cycling. Along this road there are several restaurants and hotels, while on the beach there are tamarisk trees, umbrellas, water sports, beach volley courts, snack bars, changing rooms, showers, etc. The eastern part of the long beach is called Paligremnos. The beach is sandy and very well organised, next to hotels and restaurants. Characteristic of Paligremnos are nearby huge vertical cliffs that rise to a great height.
