About the neighborhood: Close by to the Nature Reserve of Halikunas, quiet and peaceful. Wide spectrum of wildlife, many birds including Barn Owls, Nightjars, Golden Orioles and Hoopoes, rare but can be seen and heard if patient! Plenty of paths ideal for cycling, jogging, trekking, etc. A car is strongly recommended as the nearest bus stop is a 20 minutes' walk. Three small, family-run tavernas are to be found nearby (10 min. walk or less than 5 min. car), same as Halikounas and Alonaki beaches. For grocery shopping, car ,bicycle, and motorbike rental ideally head to either Agios Matheus village or to Messongi/ Moraitika (10 min. drive). No transport option? No problem. The supermarket Coop offers our guests free transfer (pickup & return) to Agios Matheus -minimum shopping fee-.
