The traditional stone house Ariadne is the largest house of the traditional settlement of Labyrinthos and dates from around 1820 to 1850. It was lovingly renovated by the Georgiladaki Family keeping all the architectural elements. The Labyrinth settlement is the first settlement of the village, it has a labyrinthine character and dates according to the Venetian censuses in 1570. The house consists of two buildings joined by two circular doors. It has a traditional wooden frame, wooden floor and beams, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a dining room, and a room with a large stone fireplace to enjoy the warmth on winter evenings. It has TV, Wifi, kitchen equipment, water cooler, and almost all rooms have their own air conditioner. The house has a lovely outdoor yard with trees and flowers. All bedrooms have balconies with unlimited views of the plain of Messara, towards Phaistos and Psiloritis, to the north-east the Lasithiotika Mountains and to the south Asterousia. The lower part of the house is older than the upper floor. In fact, an inscription has been found, probably a prayer in the Arabic language. The wider settlement has a fortress design to prevent raids. It is located in the most airy and highest position of the village, as a result of which it basks in the first rays of the sunrise
