I was born in Volos, Greece but I live in the USA. When I was young, I used to go to Pelion camping and skiing in the winter . Over the last 30 years Pelion and Agios Ioannis in particular have been my holiday destination. Since my retirement, I spend my summer months in Agios Ioannis because I enjoy the sun, swimming, good food and fabulous surrounding environment. The owner lives abroad but spends the summers in Greece. He may be present at the listing or Christina the co-hostess will be there to welcome guests and orient them to the house and property.

You are in a little piece of heaven. The villa is secluded and totally private. There are well mapped out mountain roads that take you to several of the small villages around the area and to beautiful secluded beaches. Pelion mountain is also recorded as the mythical land of the Centaurs. Pelion mountain is ideal for skiing in winter and walking/hiking and swimming in summer-- visitors can enjoy the natural beauty all year round. The nearest beach is only 150 meter walking distance. The city of Volos is 55 km away. The ski center in Chania-Agriolefkes is 18 km away. The villages of Mouresi and Kissos are 4 km away. There is daily bus service to Volos, service schedules vary throughout the year, but the best way to get around is by car and foot.
