Set within a lush garden of fruit and olive trees, this traditional plum plantation has been converted into a luxurious dwelling in one of the islands most exclusive locations. While near the town, the surrounding area is a declared nature-reserve inhabited by deer. The spacious villa consists of two connected houses. Inside are a light-filled living room and kitchen overlooking the pool and the sea, as well as four separate double bedrooms, all on different levels for maximum privacy. One bedroom is connected to the living room. Another has a separate entrance and en-suite bathroom. A third has an additional single bed. The fourth has an entire floor to itself, including a bathroom and a balcony running the length of the house. All the bedrooms are oriented towards the East and command breath-taking views of the sea , the terraces and the garden. There are three bathrooms in total, each with a shower, as well as an outdoor shower by the pool. The house has a spacious kitchen with a small breakfast bar. The front terrace surrounds a white oval pool and offers a sun-drenched retreat. There are five further terraces. One is set in front of the most ancient part of the house and is overhung by a dense vine of grapes, which offers shade even in the mid-day sun. Another is a converted olive and pomegranate grove equipped with a two-person hammock and sun lounges. Adjacent to the house is a large terrace with a commanding view of the sea and a twelve-person table. Above this are a vista point revealing the sea across the hills to the North-East. The newest terrace is built into the garden almost at roof-level and captures the evening sun. The house has a three-hundred meter long drive-way, ensuring peace and seclusion, but is only just over a kilometre from the town of Skopelos with is many restaurants and shops.

We're from lots of places (born in Germany, raised in the US, etc.), but live in Cambridge, England, where being from somewhere is the norm. We have two children, who keep us busy, when Olga isn't attending to her students at the university and I'm not at my computer doing my remote working thing. We like to travel, learn languages, spend time with friends, meet new people, do sports outside or just read in a cozy place.

While we walk to the town and the beach, both are about 140m below the house. For maximum ease and mobility a car is recommended. However, the road by the house also connects to numerous walking and mountain-biking trails that span the island. Many of these have been in use since ancient roman times. Daily pool cleaning and maid service can be arranged at a small additional cost (by default, linen will be changed once week and outside areas and the pool will be cleaned every three days).
