I'm Helen & have lived on Zakynthos for over 30 year I am originally from the U.K.,I fell in love with the island & am excited to share the culture, &, history of Zante with our guests.I have many uears of experience in the hospitality buisness & have seen the changes in trends throughout tourism over the years Kostas my husband is from the island & has lots of local knowledge We cant wait to share our island with each & everyone of you.

The resort is Argassi is 5 mins from the villa & can offer all your holiday needs from restaurants,supermarkets, ATM's ,gift shops,excursion companies with a wide range of trips by boat or coach, car/motorbike/quad/bycycle hire available,2 garages if you need petrol for your vehicle. many beach front swimming pools & snack bars many open during the evening for food & drinks just a short walk off the main Argassi road. in the evening a stroll on the main road will bring you past traditional tavernas ,souvlaki shops ,restaurants with modern mediterranean cuisine ,sportsbars with big t.v's mingolf , nightclubs open untill the early hours. Visit the world famous shipwreck cove & stunning blue caves situated in the north,the monasery in Anafonitria where Agios Dyonisios {st. Denis} stayed for a short time,see the monks quaters the main church & a small personal chapel used by st denis. A very popular day trip is turtle spotting in the bay of Lagana on the south coast,a protected species there are 9 main nesting beaches which are maintained by volunteers during the summer months. The main town Zante is a lively vibrant working town,the church of St Denis is very ornate & open to all,along the harbour front are the fishing boats & many super yachts visiting the island, in the evening they are all lit up making the busy harbour front along with all the bars ,restaurants,souvlaki grills a must go see. During the day & evenings untill 9pm the shops are open ,Alexandra Roma is the main shopping street offering clothes shops,mobile phones,electronic equipmant,shoes,toys , St Marks square is at the far end & has several tavernas & bars also banks which have ATM's open 24hrs. Solomos Square has the Byzantium museum covering 2 stories ,in the centre of the square is a statue of Dionysios Solomos a greek poet from Zakynthos ,one of his poems was set to music & became the national anthem. So much to see on the island ,organised trips or take a car & explore for yourself ,enjoy !
