Almyrida is a popular tourist destination set with seaside tavernas and cafes nestled along the shoreline towards the bay of the harbour. It is an ideal spot for families, especially with young children as the Blue Flag awarded beach is sandy and gently sloping. The resort has everything you could need on a day to day basis. ATMs, taxi rank, chemist, bakery, mini-markets and clothes shops. There are several established water sports facilities, such as windsurfing, kayaking. Ther is a 2 hour boat trip from the harbour which hugs the coastline and offers snorkeling and a swim. There is also a dive centre. A five minute drive takes you to the next larger village of Kalyves, where there is a greater selection of shops and tavernas, banks and a post office.
