Strolling along the Liston Promenade, a beautiful arcade built during French rule, provides a glimpse into the town’s cosmopolitan past, while the expansive Spianada Square, the largest in Greece, is perfect for people-watching or relaxing in a café. The Church of St. Spyridon, dedicated to the island’s patron saint, is a must-see for its religious significance and the Palace of St. Michael and St. George now houses the Museum of Asian Art. History enthusiasts will appreciate the Corfu Archaeological Museum with its displays of fasinating ancient artifacts and the New Fortress, which offers impressive views of the town from its hilltop perch.
