You won't find luxuries here, but every detail is designed with care. Woodpecker Cabin, built with recycled materials, is ideal if you're looking for simplicity , surrounded by trees and wildlife. Down the hill from the road to Tikal, facing Lake Petén Itzá, you'll find a free dock with incredible sunsets. WE ONLY ACCEPT CASH PAYMENTS. This very simple, basic rustic cabin is clean and cozy, with a private bathroom (no hot water, no kitchen, and no cooking area) and street parking. At night, you'll hear many dogs barking, howler monkeys, and roosters crowing. It includes two small fans, a mosquito net, two hammocks outside, and one inside. The cabin includes: two towels, one set of sheets, two pillows, shampoo, hand soap, and toilet paper. Cleaning is not included during your stay. If you don't like forests, simple things, nature, and simplicity, this might not be the best option for you. The neighbors can be a bit noisy when they play music, but enjoying moments of peace and quiet is very pleasant. Guest access: Small seating area next to and in front of the room with two hammocks. On the main street, you'll find a full range of shops, convenience stores, ATMs, pharmacies, restaurants, and public and pay-per-view docks. You can also book boat tours, rent bikes, take part in water activities, or walk around the neighborhood. You can take public transportation to all your destinations at the entrance to our house, just a few meters away.
